Sequential Image Class Practice - Walking Down

First project done!

Last week I was working in class on Sequential Image Class Practice. We were asked to do research one of the artists and i chose Jurgen Klauke. German born in 1943,  from 1968 was a professor at the Art Academy for Media in Cologne.  His art was widely shown in Germany, France, Austria, Switzerland, UK and in Japan and the US. 'Since the 1970s, he has photographed and filmed his performances in order to illustrate and to document them. In later works photography and film have become an autonomous medium in which the human body (often the artist’s own) appears in surreal, carefully staged scenarios: a hallmark that continues in the artist’s work today.' I decided wanted to take sequential images of my own walking down the stairs  as my title chose 'Walking Down'. I asked my class colleague to take some shots of my walking down near Art Factory Building.

I used Samsung S24 Ultra with standard camera settings. These are the settings below.

This week I added the final images completed on Pixar.

The next step is that I am going to put images together for presentation in sequence on Pixlr

I opened Pixlr E, I then clicked on 'Create New' and then in the dialog box I clicked on Print in the top menu and then I clicked on A4 size canvas.  I then added my title in the left hand box.  I then clicked on back ground and then chose white background and then clicked on 'create'.

I then cropped all my images just to get rid of rough edges.  I went to the crop tool on the left hand menu and adjusted accordingly for each shot.  I then went to top menu to 'adjustments' and in the drop down menu clicked on 'brightness and contrast' I adjusted the brightness of each shot by around 15 and contrast by -4 points for consistency

I then wanted to add all my images to my canvas so I went to my first image clicked on 'select' in the top menu and then clicked on 'copy'  I then went back to my canvas and clicked on 'paste.  I then adjusted the image using the move tool for positioning and transform controls to change the size.  I then repeated this process for each image to create the sequence above.

I then added text by clicking on the 'T' text tool on the left hand menu.  I then added my text layer and in the text menu.  I changed the colour to black, I changed the font to Gingerbreads, and the size of the font 72pts, also added shadow effect. I then aligned the text to the right and made the text bold.

I then went to file and export as png in the drop down menu and saved to my computer as a final image.  Please see final work below.
